Perhaps because of its depth and richness, Amethyst has always been associated with intense emotion. It is fitting, then, that the legend of Dionysus, Greek god of wine, tells of its origin in a tale of revenge, devotion, and immortal remorse.
Amethyst is rated “good” for everyday wear. Avoid direct sunlight and exposure to heat which may cause color to fade. Avoid contract with chemicals. To clean, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush and a solution of mild dish soap and warm water, or clean in an at-home ultrasonic cleaner.
